The West Country based folk-rock duo, The Sound of the Sirens have added Tideswell to their list of Autumn tour dates. The Sound of the Sirens, aka Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood, will be playing Tideswell Church, the magnificent Cathedral of the Peak, on Friday 20th September 2019, starting at 7.30pm.
The concert is jointly hosted by Tideswell Theatre and the Friends of St Johns (FoSJ) who are fund-raising to help maintain the fabric of the 14th century “cathedral”. All profits from the event will go to FoSJ.
The Sound of the Sirens released their second album This Time in early 2019 on the independent DMF Records label. The album was a follow-on from their acclaimed debut album For All Our Sins released in 2017. R2 Magazine called it a “stunning debut collection”.The new album, This Time, continues to showcase an evident gift for crafting unique, vivid and enduring melodies with 15 catchy and heartfelt songs all written by Abbe and Hannah, whose voices harmonise beautifully throughout the album.
Their live shows combine a natural facility for connecting with their audiences and unforgettable performances with warmth, humour and, above all, real conviction. Discover more about the Sirens at www.soundofthesirens.net
