Plans for Kitchen and Toilet facilities at St. John the Baptist.

We’re now actively exploring the provision of a fully accessible toilet, and a fit for purpose small kitchen/drinks point and servery at St. John’s, to extend our hospitality to visitors, worshippers and audiences. During May, architect’s drawings outlining several options for the location of these facilities will be on display at the back of church. You are warmly invited to have a look and leave your comments and questions. St. John’s is both Tideswell’s church, and a national treasure, and we’d like to know your views on the proposed developments. It is envisaged that these plans will form one part of a larger suite of works, including essential maintenance to the chancel roof, south porch and tower, and a complete re-wire and re-lighting of the building.

‘Taste and See’ Cafe Church returns on 3rd June

IMG_6740Cafe church meets in the Church Institute behind the church, with a slow start around 9.30am leading up to a short presentation around 9.50am. Activities for all ages with excellent coffee, great baking and good company, as we think about stories from the life of Jesus. This month we’ll be thinking about what Jesus said to the crowds who gathered to hear him, and still thinking about fish….
