Hats for Children in Albania

In November 2019 a major earthquake in Durres, Albania, leaving 44,000 people homeless.IMG_2534

Two boxes of woollen hats from the M.U. at St. John’s Church Truro were despatched and gratefully received. A year on there are still many people living on the breadline owing to property destruction and/or loss of employment so a new appeal was launched which was advertised in our churches and villages. The response has been splendid, such that on Monday 9th November our Curate Nicola posted off 62 hats of many varied hues and patterns, which will be distributed in Durres during the mid-winter holiday at Christmas and New Year.
